Canlas, one of the Aeta indigenous, who graduated from senior high school in April 2022, mentioned that she was lucky to have our club’s support and advices from our club Rotarian Imelda and Ivan under the educational support provided by our club.
She is now very happy and proud to work at SM department store, Olongapo.
In the Philippines, it is not easy for indigenous tribal people to have decent jobs that promises stable income.
Her journey will continue to have a better life that she deserves as a human.

Approx. 60 daycare students participated along with their parents and teachers.

]]> Aeta Indigenous Students Sports Festival https://www.rotarymm.org/aeta-indigenous-students-sports-festival/ Thu, 23 Nov 2023 00:02:00 +0000 https://www.rotarymm.org/?p=3606 On November 9, 2023, Aeta Village Elementary school in Subic, Bataan had their sports festival that our club sponsored through our member Imelda.

The activities included indigenous traditional sports games. 302 Aeta indigenous students participated the event.
Luncheon of chicken macaroni and juice was provided to all pupils, as well as prizes in the form of cash and school supplies.
