District Governor-Elect (DGE) Joyce Michelle Ambray welcomed more than 300 participants which is a requirement to apply for the District Grant and the Global Grant.

The whole day seminar covered all aspects of the information needed in applying for the said grants.

PE Lito is interested in applying for the Global Grant wherein an International Partner club is required.

PP Don Shields of Rotary Club of Geelong, Australia told us that he would look into the details of the project for Global Grant so that they can possibly be our international partner club.

During the seminar clubs were politely asked for a pledge to support The Rotary Foundation (TRF) wherein the funds collected will support the said grants worldwide. Most clubs including our club pledged for the minimum donation of US$1,000.

The Paul Harris Fellow pins of Rotarians Yoshiko & Kimiyo were also awarded that day.

IPDG Liza also provided bags, magazines and a container of liquid hand soap as a souvenir to our club.

Gov. Liza gave an inspiring overview of the many needs in the world and the place of Rotary to assist effectively. She pledged a District grant of $1,000 to assist the club with its support of the 64 families of the relocated AETA village in San Luis as with High School and College scholarships for deserving students and recommended that the club provide application summaries ASAP to the District. RIMM provided an overview of its many projects with the most pressing being cooperative disaster relief with the District, DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) and the City of Alfonso after the Jan. 10, 2020 Taal Volcano eruption. Ongoing projects such as family planning, assisting indigent families, teaming up with DSWD and local barangay (village) captains to prevent/discourage sexual abuse of women & children by bringing perpetrators to justice, school supplies and school uniforms, birth certificates for indigents, donations in kind from Australia clubs, etc. were also discussed.

While the meeting was somewhat overshadowed by the uncertainty pertaining to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, it closed with participants pledging to cooperatively accomplish even more with the limited resources available.

RIMM conducted a Fellowship Meeting at its headquarter in Alfonso, Cavite.
The meeting was graced by Rotarian Yasunori Saito of Kawasaki Marine Club – Kanagawa, Japan (District 2590) along with other visiting RIMM members from Japan. Both clubs exchanged their respective banners.
Past president Casey and president Raymund reported on the various community services performed by RIMM. Several newsletters and photos were presented during the Fellowship Meeting.
Some visitors of AWH (Academy of World Healing) who attended the Fellowship Meeting became new members of RIMM after seeing how much assistance RIMM has been giving to the needy and the community.

RIMM conducted another Fellowship Meeting at its headquarter in Aflonso, Cavite.
The meeting was graced by Rotarian Eiji Imanishi of Nishinomiya, Japan (District 2680) along with visiting RIMM members from Japan.
President Raymund and President-Elect Henry reported on the community services rendered by RIMM to many indigent communities all over the Philippines. Several newsletter printouts with photos were presented. 
RIMM reported on its flagship programs on Responsible Parenthood, Prevention of Tuberculosis (TB) and “Stop Sexual Abuse on Children”. As reported RIMM donated P47,305 to Dr. Evangelina Manzo (Alfonso Municipal Health Officer) to purchase needed supplements for diagnosed with TB under their supervision for 6 months. Many other donations to schools ie. printer, complete set of uniform and shoes, needed educational toys and supplies, several out of town humanitarian missions were reported.
Some impressed AWH guests from Japan by listening the various programs of RIMM supporting the needy in the community became new members of the club.
