Aetas in Olongapo – Support for New Distance Learning

Basic education and literacy

Since September 25, 2020 on, our club Rotarian Imelda who lead Aeta support project in Olongapo had assisted in providing sanitary items for the pandemic measure instructed by the department of education of the Philippines prior to school class reopening on October 5, 2020.

Rotarian Imelda worked together with Aeta village community elementary school in Subic Bay, Zambales.

The donated items by our club include the followings:

  • Ethanol Alcohol
  • KN95 & Disposable Facemasks
  • Disposable Gloves
  • Hand Sanitizing Bar Soaps

Our club Rotarian Imelda continued to provide school supplies and sanitary materials for distance education to Aeta students. The donated materials by our club included the followings:

  • LONG PLASTIC ENVELOPE FOR THE MODULE EDUCATION
  • BACKPACKS, NOTEBOOKS, PENCIL & PEN
  • FACE SHIELDS, SOAP, TOOTHPASTE, FACE POWDER, SHAMPOO, ETC.
  • NOODLES & COOKIES

The parents of the students in the Aeta Village appreciated the support that Rotarian Imelda and our club provided as they believe that education is the key to success in life.
